Spring King’s upcoming tour is a team effort: “To create a scene on tour is really cool”

The Big Moon, The Magic Gang and more are heading out on the road.
Spring King are off on tour this October, and they’re taking a bunch of your new favourite bands with them – as the group explain in the new issue of Dork.

“We’ve got The Big Moon, who we’ve known for a while,” starts frontman Tarek Musa, “Kagoule, who we’ve seen at different shows; The Magic Gang, who supported us years ago and ever since, we’ve been growing together; and Get Inuit.

“They did our last tour with us and are legends, so fuck it. I don’t think it’s very common, you don’t always get the same band on for a support, but we really wanted them.”

“We’ve not, geographically, been from any scene,” continues James Green. “Even though we’re all from Manchester, we’ve never been part of it. To be able to recreate that while we’re out on tour is really cool.”

You can read all about the band’s upcoming shows in October’s Dork, out now – order your copy here. The issue also features Black Honey and Dream Wife, Jagwar Ma, Two Door Cinema Club, Girli, Daughter, Pumarosa, Hamilton Leithauser & Rostam, Kero Kero Bonito, Sohn, Sunflower Bean, Kloe, Nimmo, PWR BTTM, Drones Club and loads more.
