Squid have announced a brand new tour of work-in-progress music

Titled 'Fieldworks', the socially distanced UK run starts this May.

Squid have announced ‘Fieldworks’ – a new socially distanced UK tour featuring work-in-progress new music.

“With all this time rooted in one place we’ve been hard at work writing new music together,” the band explain. “We thought that this little tour of places, off the beaten track, would be a great opportunity to show you all some new tunes and some REALLY new tunes. We can’t wait to play some places that aren’t on the traditional touring circuit and see all your faces.”

The run kicks off on 19th May in Falmouth, calling off in Totnes, Bristol, Chippenham, Hull, Sheffield, Manchester, London, Norwich, Bexhill and Margate. They’ll play two shows back to back in Bristol, Chippenham, Hull, Manchester and London.

Fans can get pre-sale access to the run by ordering the band’s forthcoming debut album ‘Bright Green Field’ from the band’s online store, Bleep or Bandcamp before 5pm on Monday, 26th April. All previous orders from the same stores will receive an access code automatically, with tickets limited to 2 per purchase. Tickets will be available from 28th April.

‘Bright Green Field’ is set for release on 7th May. You can read more from Squid in the new issue of Dork, out now. Dork supporters can read the feature online here.
