St. Vincent’s ‘New York’ is understated brilliance from one of the greatest pop stars on the planet

It's good to have her back.
Congratulations, UK types. You made it to Friday, which means that new St. Vincent track ‘New York’ is streaming online for you now.

Originally appearing for those in more advanced time zones yesterday (29th June), the track is the first taster of new material from Annie Clark as we wait patiently for her next album. We say patiently – the jumping up and down with excitement is entirely involuntary. We just can’t help it.

Stripped back from the all out pop assault of her last, self-titled full length, ‘New York’ is predictably great. You can check it out below.

Last week, our Annie announced the ‘Fear the Future Tour’, which kicks off in London at the O2 Academy Brixon on October 17th and runs through Europe and North America before finishing up in Brooklyn on 2nd December.
