Stereo Honey are going to release a new EP later this year

Check out their new track, ‘Icarus’.

Stereo Honey have dropped a new song, and announced a new EP.

‘Icarus’ – which you can hear below – precedes the release of four-tracker ’What Makes A Man’ on 16th November via LAB Records.

“I don’t want to be a man anymore,” says vocalist Pete Restrick. “I’m tired of being the strong and silent type. I can’t even breathe. Sometimes I don’t know who I am. I’m just floating in the gutter and screaming through my teeth. I’m trying to stand up straight but I’m crumbling underneath.

“What makes a man? This question’s always bothered me. Don’t fucking cry it’s embarrassing, an older boy once said to me. Strength lies in silence and shame in vulnerability. Intimacy and tenderness give way to anger and aggression, the only acceptable forms of expression.

“I don’t want to be a man anymore. Not that kind of man. I don’t think any man should. It’s a standard that’s impossible to live up to, and it’s killing us.“

The news coincides with their October tour, including a London headliner at the Borderline on 3rd October.
