Those lovely chaps in The Strokes are putting on a benefit concert in LA on July 25th at The Wiltern to raise money for three non-profit organisations.
The Center in Hollywood, Waste Not Want Not Now, and the Downtown Women’s Center provide help and shelter to those who are poverty stricken or homeless.
Julian Casablancas released a statement in regards to the new announcement, “Homelessness and mental health are big issues in LA and we’re happy to do a little something that can hopefully help a bit. The Center in Hollywood and Waste Not Want Not Now are great, well-intentioned and trustworthy charities doing wonderful work.”
