The first track taken from his eighth album is called ‘America’, and is out on July 3rd.

Sufjan Stevens has announced details of a brand new album – returning with ‘The Ascension’

Mr Stevens’ eight solo album sits as the anticipated follow-up to 2015’s ‘Carrie And Lowell’, and will be released on September 25th

AND WE DON’T HAVE TO WAIT LONG FOR NEW MUSIC (apologies, got excited), with the album’s debut single ‘America’ set for release this Friday (July 3rd). The 12-and-a-half minute track also acts as the closing track to ‘The Ascension’ with the full tracklisting available to have a ‘lil looky at below

Until then, I guess we’ll just…. wait?! We can stare at the video below which will upload with the track on Friday. So if you’re watching this in the future, the track will be there. Is it a cover of Razorlight? You tell us!

We’ll still be here in the past – that’ll be weird. Have they invented hoverboards yet? Can dogs talk? Not sure how you can tell us but, let us know!
