Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker has suggested that the band’s new album could be arriving next year.
Speaking on Beats 1, he didn’t give much of an update, but revealed that he’s keen to introduce more new music into their live set.
“I would very much hope so [to release a new Tame Impala record in summer 2019], I’d be very disappointed if we didn’t have something out by then,” he confirmed.
“I mean, I love playing the songs live, I love playing ‘Currents’ songs, I love playing ‘Lonerism’ songs and everything, but I think I’m ready to play some other songs live. All the instinctual things are there.”
Tame Impala played a UK Exclusive headline set at Citadel earlier this summer, marking their first show in London since their two sold out Alexandra Palace shows in February 2016.
Their third album ‘Currents’ was released in 2015.
