Tempesst have shared a new single, ‘Rags of Love’, from their upcoming second album, ‘Prisoner of Desire’

The full LP is set to arrive on March 3rd via Pony Recordings.

London psych-rock five-piece Tempesst have continued to unveil their upcoming second LP, ‘Prisoner of Desire’, with the new single, ‘Rags of Love’.

It is their third single of the year and follows their two previous releases, title track ‘Prisoner of Desire’ and ‘True Love’s in Decline’, and continues on from their 2020 debut album, ‘Must Be a Dream’. The London-via-Australia’s sophomore LP is set to arrive on March 3rd via Pony Recordings.

Singer Toma Banjanin explores the inherent dichotomy of friendship within the cinematic new single, overcast by a melancholic tone driven by a lamenting slide guitar and triumphant horns. “‘Rags Of Love’ chronicles the near demise and ultimate resurrection of a relationship,” the band offer.

The new record is shaping up to be more complicated than any traditional love story, acknowledging the challenging elements that evolve over time but continue to exist alongside all the positive emotions, all contributing to a truer painting of real relationships.

“Above all else, we want this album to start an honest conversation about what love is: one that throws away pedestals and unreal expectations” Toma elaborates. “One that shows how demanding, complex, challenging, beautiful, and incredible love can be. And why, ultimately, we’re all prisoners of desire.”
