Psych-pop group Temples have announced their upcoming album ‘Exotico’.
The record’s due out on 14th April via ATO Records. To celebrate the news, the band have also dropped a new single ‘Gamma Rays’, and revealed an upcoming club show run for February.
The album was produced by Sean Ono Lennon, with the final mix handled by Dave Fridmann. Talking about the single, James Bagshaw says: “In the verse lyrics we’re talking about the grandness of nature, and then the chorus flips that on its head, it sounds like a rejoiceful summer tune about soaking up the rays, but the truth is that soaking up gamma rays will kill you. So it’s about that juxtaposition of beauty and danger that we often find in nature.”
The video for ‘Gamma Rays’ was shot in Benidorm, and directed by Molly Daniel – check it out below.
