The 1975 and Wild Beasts announce tiny London shows

  • Dork News Desk
  • January 17, 2017
The 1975 said they’d be playing a small London show in February and, true to their word, they are.

Together with The Brit Awards and War Child, The 1975 will be taking to The Dome at Tufnell Park for a special show on February 21st 2017. The gig comes as part of a series of concerts taking place all across the capital and sees the likes of Basement Jaxx, Wild Beasts and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man playing smaller than usual shows. The complete list is as follows:

FEBRUARY

14 Tinie Tempah/ Lianne La Havas/ Anne-Marie/ Darline, O2 Shepherds Bush Empire

14 Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Clapham Grand

15 New Gen: WSTRN/ Stefflon Don/ Avelino / Abra Cadabra / Yxng Bane, Kamio

16 Craig David presents TS5, Brixton Electric

16 An acoustic evening with Richard Hawley plus very special guest Paul Weller, Union Chapel

21 Basement Jaxx, Dingwalls

21 The 1975, The Dome, Tufnell Park

21 Jack Savoretti, Hoxton Hall

23 Rick Astley, Jazz Cafe

24 Wild Beasts, Omeara

Tickets go on sale Friday 20th January via a lottery, with a £5 donation to War Child securing you an entrance into the draw. If you’re not lucky, you can always watch The 1975 return to The 02 the following day as they perform during the Brit Awards.

Liana Mellotte, Head of Music, Entertainment Development at War Child explains that, “Since 2009, War Child has been producing really special shows around the BRIT Awards that unite some of the greatest musicians in the world in support of children living with the brutality of war.

“This year’s line-up is once again testament to the musicians who generously donate their time, talent and unending commitment to protect the rights of children in the most horrendous circumstances. Words can’t really convey how grateful we are to them, to O2 and to our supporters around the UK who make this such a special time for War Child.”
