The 1975 have debuted the latest track from their forthcoming fourth album, ‘Notes on a Conditional Form’.
Titled ‘Me & You Together Song’, it’s a jangly, loved-up gem, which you can stream in full below, and read our first thoughts on the track here. It was debuted on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show, where the band played it live as her Hottest Record.
It comes a few days after the band’s Matty Healy confirmed ‘Notes on a Conditional Form’, originally slated for a 21st February release, will now be out on 24th April.
Taking to Instagram to confirm the news, which first broke via an Apple Music listing, he confirmed the band were “really proud” of the album, and for “the sake of a couple of months, in the grand scheme of it it doesn’t make any difference”.
He went on to confirm that there’ll be further new songs in February, March and right before the album in April. All the new tracks will be played “intermittently” on their forthcoming UK tour, which kicks off this February. Matty compared it to the way the band debuted new material on their live dates in the run up to the release of ‘I Like It When You Sleep…’.
