There have been festivals all over the UK this weekend. From Live At Leeds In The Park to Wide Awake and Slam Dunk – both North and South legs – there’s barely a park or field not packed with bands dropping bangers.
Not to be left out, Scotland has had its own extravaganza in the form of BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend. Featuring some of the biggest names on the planet, it’s not been short of Dork friendly artists.
Fresh off a (totally uneventful) break from touring which took them across the Americas, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, The 1975 returned to the stage to headline on Saturday night.
It marks the first of a series of festival sets across the summer months, including headline sets at TRNSMT and Parklife. They will also play headline shows in Ireland, Paris and Vienna in the coming weeks.
They will perform in London’s Finsbury Park on 2 July – not only a headline show of their own, but a full day of acts including The Japanese House, Bleachers, American Football and Cigarettes After Sex. The group released their fifth studio album ‘Being Funny In A Foreign Language’ in October 2022.
