The 1975 have confirmed the arrival of the next preview to be taken from their upcoming album ‘Being Funny In A Foreign Language’.
‘All I Need To Hear’ will be released on Wednesday, 21st September. It will be the fourth single from ‘Being Funny in a Foreign Language’, following the release of ‘Part of the Band’, ‘Happiness’, and ‘I’m in Love With You’.
It is very possible that the track will be, in part or in full, an updated version of a song which Matty Healy played during a surprise set at a Phoebe Bridgers show in LA in October 2021, in which the lyrics ‘All I need to hear’ feature heavily. If it is, it offers a very different tone to what we have heard from ‘Being Funny In A Foreign Language’ so far.
The group’s fifth studio album is arriving on 14th October via Dirty Hit. It follows the release of ‘Notes on a Conditional Form’ back in May 2020.
