The Antlers have shared a new single, ‘Ahisma’

The band have released their first new music since last November.

The Antlers have returned with a new track, ‘Ahisma’, which is out today via Transgressive Records.

The track is the band’s first since last November’s ‘Losing Light’ EP and was originally featured on Peter Silberman’s solo album ‘Impermanence’ from 2017. The Antlers have been playing the track live since, and the new release showcases a full band performance.

Recorded shortly before they departed for their US tour earlier this year, the track became the closing number in their live set.

On the track, Peter Silberman explains: “’Ahimsa’ is an attempt to create a peaceful space within a violent world. The scope is wider now, though the message remains the same: mortality is one of the few qualities we all share in common, and through recognizing this we may discover compassion for one another.”
