The Decemberists have shared a new ‘un from their upcoming album

Colin Meloy promises "exuberant nihilism" on the band's new album.
The Decemberists’ new album is out soon, and they’ve shared another teaser track.

‘I’ll Be Your Girl’ is set for release on 16th March via Capitol Records, and is set to be followed by some UK dates later this year – and preceded by ‘Once In My Life’, which is out now.

Recorded over the Portland autumn with St. Vincent, Lana del Rey and Angel Olsen collaborator John Congleton, the album is apparently going to mark a departure for the band, with promises of “nice vintage synth work” and “some heavy drumming”.

Listen to ‘Once In My Life’ below.
