Remember what was another low point of 2016? When The Maccabees decided to call it a day on top of their game and just after headlining Latitude. Well now, they’ve announced a trio of farewell shows for next summer, and we don’t know how we’re going to be able to keep it together.
Titled ‘Live For The Last Time: The Farewell Shows’, the indie icons will headline three separate dates – one at the Manchester Apollo on June 28th and then two headline nights at London’s Alexandra Palace on June 30th and July 1st.
It’ll celebrate the career of a truly landmark band, one who defined many a disco, heartbreak and moments of unfiltered joy – so expect these shows to be an emotional trip down memory lane, and remind us just why their departure is causing us to use all the office tissues this morning.
Tickets for the shows are on sale from December 9th at 9am, so be quick. Everyone and their mums will be heading down for this one.
