We’re delighted to reveal The Murder Capital as cover stars for our new February 2023 issue, due to drop this Friday (13th January).

Frontman James McGovern is in proper fighting talk and not in the mood for taking any prisoners when it comes to discussing what The Murder Capital have cooked up for their second record, the follow-up to incendiary (and intense) debut ‘When I Have Fears’. “You and I have both seen bands do that thing,” he states at one point, “where it’s just like ‘well, here you go again…'”

The band already made big waves when their debut album crashed into the charts at a point it took more than a smart bundling campaign and a whole lot of vim and vigour to make a splash. Where so many of their peers chanced on the quick sharp follow up, attempting to hold on to momentum, that’s not the way The Murder Capital went about it. ‘Gigi’s Recovery’ isn’t just a second full-length, it’s a work of art. The kind of record that will stick in the mind long after it stops spinning.

The Murder Capital are the second act we’re revealing for our February 2023 issue. We’ve another cover star to come, plus a line-up of exciting new music to kick your year off in the best possible way.

The new issue of Dork will drop on Friday, 13th January. You can pre-order The Murder Capital edition here or pre-order the Biig Piig edition here. Alternatively, you can subscribe and get the print edition sent directly to your door every month here.
