The National have released their eighth studio album.
‘I Am Easy To Find’ is out today (Friday, 17th May) via 4AD, preceded by a companion short film with the same name, starring Alicia Vikander – check that out here.
The album features guest vocals from Gail Ann Dorsey, Lisa Hannigan, Sharon Van Etten, Mina Tindle, Kate Stables, and the Brooklyn Youth Choir.
“Yes, there are a lot of women singing on this, but it wasn’t because, ‘Oh, let’s have more women’s voices’,” says vocalist Matt Berninger in a somewhat questionable explanatory quote. “It was more, ‘Let’s have more of a fabric of people’s identities’. It would have been better to have had other male singers, but my ego wouldn’t let that happen.”
