The Neighbourhood are going on hiatus, according to reports.
Best known for their 2013 smash ‘Sweater Weather’, The Neighbourhood released their most recent album, ‘Chip Chrome & The Mono-Tones’ back in September 2020. To date, they’ve only played two dates following its arrival, their last activity dropping a new merch line back in November.
Variety cites “multiple sources” who state that the band will cancel their upcoming live dates, as frontman Jesse Rutherford starts teasing solo material on TikTok.
Their music has recently seen a surge in popularity after both ‘Sweater Weather’ and 2015’s ‘Daddy Issues’ finding traction on TikTok. Currently, they’re slated to play two UK dates at London’s O2 Brixton Academy on 24th October and Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse on 26th October.
