Well, these are weird times aren’t they? Still, pop never sleeps – and neither does Dork. Not when there are magazines to be made. So yes, we may all be locked away in our homes. Sure, there may be no gigs, festivals cancelling by the day and releases pushing back in the scheduled. But we’re keeping on keeping on, with the new issue of our print magazine out now.
On the verge of releasing their just-announced debut album, we’re absolutely cock-and-indeed-a-hoop to finally welcome Sea Girls to the cover of Dork. With a back catalogue of massive indie bangers laying in their wake, they’re set to be one of the success stories of 2020 – and they’re not about to let some silly virus stop them either.
Elsewhere this month, we’ve got PVRIS, Empress Of, Perfume Genius, Hazel English, Enter Shikari, The Driver Era, Halloweens, Tayla Parx, Pete Wentz, Porridge Radio and loads, loads more. L Devine, Cavetown, The Big Moon, Hinds and Easy Life let us know what they’ve been up to from lockdown, while we introduce Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, Joe & The Shitboys, Larkins, Taylor Janzen and Coach Party in the latest edition of our new bands section, Hype. Add to that the usual news, nonsense, reviews and generally Dorkery, and we’re pretty confident we’ll get you through to the point you’re allowed to see friends again. Imagine that?
While our stockists are mostly closed, you can order the new issue of Dork to be delivered direct to your door below, or read it digitally here on Issuu. If you want to be super supportive, you can subscribe here – we’ve got options for 3 and 6 month packages, as well as the usual year. If we stick together, we’ll make it through. Down with boring.
