The Shins deliver a ‘Name For You’ on US telly

  • Dork News Desk
  • March 14, 2017
After releasing latest LP ‘Heartworms’ at the tail end of last week, The Shins are truly on a roll – with a dazzling appearance on US telly only added to the heady excitement going about.

Appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, James Mercer & Co delivered a shimmering live take on lead track ‘Name For You’ – sitting as a pretty good indicator for a summer jam-packed with live shows around the globe.

These include an upcoming headline night at London’s Eventim Apollo on March 29th and an appearance at this year’s 6 Music Festival – before The Shins return to the UK in August for a headline night at this year’s Green Man and two separate headline shows in Manchester and Nottingham.

The Shins are set then – and definitely don’t need their old tour van, hence why they’re giving it away as a prize for the best cover they hear of a track lifted from ‘Heartworms’. Now that’s a prize.
