Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood’s new band The Smile have released their (sort of) new track, ‘Skirting On The Surface’

The song was originally performed by Radiohead a few times during their The King of Limbs era.

The Smile – the new band featuring Radiohead‘s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood – have released a (sort of) new track, ‘Skirting on the Surface’

‘Skirting on the Surface’ was originally a Radiohead song, played a few times during ‘The King of Limbs’ tour, but never since 2012. The Smile have played it live before, though – including at last year’s Glastonbury live stream event.

The Smile’s take comes alongside a video shot in 16mm black and white by BAFTA-winning writer / director Mark Jenkin in the depths of the disused Rosevale Tin Mine in Cornwall and hand-developed in water from the mine. You can check that out below.
