The White Stripes’ first-ever Greatest Hits album will arrive before Christmas

The tracklisting isn't out yet, though.

The White Stripes have announced their first-ever Greatest Hits album.

The collection is due on 4th December via Third Man Records / Columbia Records, and will feature 26 previously released hits – though so far they’ve only confirmed one of them, ‘Ball and Biscuit’, from their fourth full-length ‘Elephant’, released in 2003.

The album is available for pre-order on CD and 2xLP 150-gram black vinyl now, with a deluxe limited edition coloured vinyl variant coming as part of Third Man Records’ Vault Package #46.

A press release explains: “The White Stripes Greatest Hits is the first record to be released under an historic new agreement between Sony Music Entertainment, Jack White, and Third Man Records. The new agreement covers the worldwide distribution of a majority of White’s recordings with The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather and his solo work, marking the first time the extensive Jack White music catalog has been available through one label group.”

Keep an eye out for more info soon.
