The xx deliver the goods with a Drake/Rihanna tinged Live Lounge

They were ‘Too Good’ - if you get where we’re going with this...
Rounding off the week in fashion, The xx took to the Live Lounge last Friday (January 13th), dropping stunning versions of both their own groover ‘On Hold’ as well as a cover of Drake and Rihanna’s ‘Too Good’.

Turning the latter from swaggering shoulder-shaker into a stripped-raw xx flourish – it showed that the trio are bang in form at the moment, fresh from the release of new album ‘I See You’ which also dropped last Friday (timing eh?!).

‘I See You’ is a good’un, hence why we described it as feeling like a “band renewed with a point to prove”. You can read our full thoughts on the record here but, seeing as it’s our Album Of The Week, you can probably guess what path we go down…

The xx are about to embark on a mammoth world tour, with a huge run of UK dates in March which include 7 (that’s right) 7 sold out nights at London’s Brixton Academy.

Twist into the week with ‘Too Good’ and ‘On Hold’ from their Live Lounge session below,
