The xx kick off the ‘I See You’ era with Annie Mac live show

Dipping through their back-catalogue, the next few months are going to be emotional ones
After unveiling new track ‘On Hold’ earlier in the day, The xx made their first live appearance for over 2 years with a very special show for Annie Mac last night (November 10th).

Broadcast out to the masses on Radio 1, the show saw the trio delve across their two previous albums and showcase ‘On Hold’ in a live setting – alongside a cracking live merger of Jamie xx’s ‘Gosh’ and the band’s own ‘Shelter’

The xx are set to release their third studio album ‘I See You’ on January 13th, packed full of the emotional and heart-ripping vibes that have made them one of the most essential acts of recent times. New track ‘On Hold’ is a banger – we can definitely certify that with our thoughts over here.

You can check out the full audio show here, so start the day with some tears. It definitely helps us get in the mood for a Friday night.
