The xx are launching their own radio series, Interludes Radio

It'll go out on Thursdays, with each member hosting an edition.

The xx are launching a new radio series on Apple Music 1, Interludes Radio.

A press release explains that “Interludes Radio will feature an eclectic mix of music, special messages from notable friends in music and culture, fan interactions, exclusive new music, and insights into the group’s creative process.”

Each episode of Interludes Radio will be hosted by a different member of the group, starting off with a horror film-themed edition from bassist and vocalist Oliver Sim.

Premiering this Thursday, March 10th at 2pm GMT / 6am PST, subsequent episodes will be hosted by Jamie xx and Romy.

“We’ll be taking turns to host each episode and get into the things that inspire us individually,” the band explain. “An hour of music, guests and sneak peeks of what we’re all up to on our own and together.”

For the first episode, Sim is joined by friends and collaborators including Florence Welch, Elton John, Sampha, Jimmy Somerville, Romy, Jamie xx, and director Yann Gonzalez, who call in to share their favourite horror movies alongside musical selections from Thom Yorke, Perfume Genius, Yves Tumor, Hercules and Love Affair, and more.

You can listen to Interludes Radio live for free at apple.co/_InterludesRadio or anytime on-demand with an Apple Music subscription.
