Slaves have shared another track from their forthcoming third album, ‘Acts of Fear and Love’.
‘Photo Opportunity’ is the third track to arrive from the upcoming full-length, which is set for release on 17th August. Starting off as a quiet, understated affair, the duo’s trademark guitar-and-drums punk rattle makes an occasional appearance, but by-and-large it showcases a new, more understated side to the band.
Premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show, guitarist Laurie Vincent explained: “We started writing it as soon as we finished our last album. So, during the tours we did with Kasabian and our own headline tour we were writing songs.
“This was actually the first song we wrote on the album,” he added. “We feel very happy about it.”
‘Photo Opportunity’ follows up on the previously shared ‘Cut and Run’ and ‘Chokehold’.
Slaves are set to support the release of ‘Acts of Fear and Love’ with shows across the UK and Ireland this November. Calling off in Newcastle, Glasgow, Nottingham, Belfast, Dublin, Norwich, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham, they’ll finish up with a huge date at London’s Alexandra Palace on 24th November.
