Thom Yorke and Mark Pritchard tease new collaboration ‘Back In The Game’

The track follows their 2016 collaboration ‘Beautiful People’ and marks their first joint release in eight years

Thom Yorke and Mark Pritchard have announced a new collaborative track titled ‘Back In The Game’, set for release on 13th February.

The track was first debuted by Yorke during his solo tour performance in Christchurch, New Zealand last October. Both artists have now shared teasers for the upcoming release, with Pritchard posting a message alongside an abstract clip featuring pulsing music, reading: “BACK IN THE GAME. 13.02.25. SIGN UP FOR NEWS.” The post tagged Yorke, Warp Records, and artist Jonathan Zawada.

The collaboration marks the latest in a series of joint projects between Yorke and Pritchard, following their work on ‘Beautiful People’ in 2016, which featured on Pritchard’s album ‘Under The Sun’. Their creative partnership initially began with Pritchard’s remix of Radiohead’s ‘Bloom’ in 2011.

“I really don’t give a flying fuck,” Yorke recently told Double J when asked about speculation over Radiohead’s future. “No offence to anyone and err, thanks for caring. But I think we’ve earned the right to do what makes sense to us without having to explain ourselves or be answerable to anyone else’s historical idea of what we should be doing.”

The new track follows Yorke’s recent work with The Smile, who released their album ‘Cutouts’ featuring the London Contemporary Orchestra, recorded at Oxford and Abbey Road Studios.
