Thomas Headon has finally released his new single ‘Georgia’, out today.

After months of teasing its lyrics on Tiktok (and quizzing his fans about it pre-release), Thomas Headon has shared the track today, 9th November. It’s the London-born Aussie’s first release since he shared the ‘Victoria’ EP earlier this year — talking to Dork around the EP release, Thomas shared: “I went through a bit of a crisis after my second EP, and I think I relearnt how I like making music and the music I want to make.” You can read the full feature here.

Discussing the track, Thomas says: “We’ve actually been sitting on this song for over a year now. I wrote it by myself with my little acoustic guitar in London, then finally produced it up into 100 different versions with my friend Stephen months later, finally landing on this one. It’s actually not even about someone called Georgia, it’s more pointed towards the US state… also which I have nothing to do with, but it’s a metaphor. Anyway, it’s my favourite song of mine to date, I hope people like it.”

‘Georgia’ comes the same week that Thomas has kicked off a co-headline North American tour with his good friend Alfie Templeman, following an impressive string of UK dates last week. The full list of dates for the ‘2 British Friends, 1 North America’ tour are as follows.

An official lyric video for the track has also been released today, which you can watch below. Listen to ‘Georgia’ here
