Thumbs aloft! It looks like Paul McCartney has confirmed himself as Glastonbury 2022’s Saturday headliner

A not-entirely-cryptic tweet seems to suggest he's playing the much rumoured slot this summer.

Paul McCartney has seemingly confirmed himself as a Glastonbury 2022 headliner, after posting a not exactly subtle message on social media.

The post, which aped a Wordle score tweet, reads “Wordle 121 25/6,” with five green squares.

It’s currently 121 days until 25th June – which falls within the Glastonbury ‘period’, suggesting Macca will be topping the Pyramid Stage on the Saturday of the event.

Rumours have circulated McCartney would headline the event after he was confirmed for the cancelled 2020 event. He’ll join fellow headliner Billie Eilish, Diana Ross and Little Simz on the bill.

Glastonbury 2022 takes place on Worthy Farm between 22nd and 26th June 2022.
