Tom DeLonge is (still) looking for aliens

Stay Together For The Kids? Naah thanks, there’s aliens to snatch
New album. New member. New lease of life. That’s what Blink-182 are up to at the moment, but if you were wondering what Tom DeLonge was working on then all you have to do is look up at the stars. Really.

Talking to Mic, DeLonge has spoken about life after the pop-punk trio. Revolving around his new multi-media platform Sekret Machines (aiming to promote evidence for the existence of those little green fellas), it’s a passion that may have contributed to his sudden departure from the group last year – in that so called “friendly divorce”.

DeLonge said: When you’re an individual like me, dealing with something that’s a national security issue, and you’re being gifted with the opportunity to communicate something you’ve been passionate about your whole life — something that has the opportunity to change the world over time — being a small part of that is enormously important for my life path. But I can’t do everything. I can’t tour nine months out of the year with enough time to do the enormity of what I’m setting out to do.

Preach mate, preach.

Back on planet earth Blink 182 (now including Matt Skiba) will be releasing their new album California on July 1st.
