Tom Meighan has left Kasabian due to personal issues

The band have released six album's together. 

Kasabian founding member Tom Meighan has split with his bandmates due to personal issues.

An abrupt statement from the group, released at midday today (Monday 6th July), explains:

“Kasabian have announced today that Tom Meighan is stepping down from the band by mutual consent. Tom has struggled with personal issues that have affected his behaviour for quite some time and now wants to concentrate all his energies on getting his life back on track.

“We will not be commenting further.”

The now-trio – Sergio Pizzorno, Chris Edwards and Ian Matthews – are currently working their way towards their seventh album, the follow-up to 2017’s ‘For Crying Out Loud’.
