Twin Atlantic announce new album ‘GLA’, stream new track ‘No Sleep’

  • Dork News Desk
  • June 2, 2016
Twin Atlantic have shared the first track from their new album.

The full-length, titled ‘GLA’, is coming in September. Earlier tonight (June 2nd), the band gave first cut ‘No Sleep’ a debut spin on Annie Mac’s Radio One show. You can check it out below.

Sam McTrusty explains, “We found ourselves in a place where we’d been a band for a good wedge of time, we’d made three records and sorta, rock music in general was lying a little bit dormant and we wanted to shake it up, just for ourselves as fans and that’s where we turned our inspirational dial to where we’re from. what we’re actually about. let’s be as authentic, as real as possible. Let’s go back to making music the way we started which was us just locked in a bedroom. We’d done the whole fancy studio thing. It was so refreshing and very, very easy and selfish.”

“We’d been striving to make the perfect pop song for years and we kinda felt like we’d achieved it, for our band,” continue the band on their realigned direction. “We set our stall out with that so we had to try and reinvent what we are.”
