Two Door Cinema Club have unveiled a John Lennon cover in ‘Isolation’

The cover has been released in aid of Extern - Ireland’s leading social justice charity

Two Door Cinema Club have released a special cover of John Lennon’s ‘Isolation’ – raising funds for Irish social justice charity Extern

Recorded by frontman Alex Trimble at his makeshift home studio, it sees the band float above their now famous synth-lines for a powerful rendition of the track first released back in 1970 by Lennon on his debut solo album

The release is raising funds for Extern – Ireland’s leading social justice charity which will be able to continue caring and helping people/families who are isolated or vulnerable during this time

Speaking about their connection to Extern, Two Door’s Kevin Baird said: “In October 2019 I had the pleasure of visiting the Extern offices in Belfast, just a few hours before our show at The Telegraph Building. I’ve been in awe of their tremendous work ever since, in particular the life saving administering of naloxone to those in the grips of an opioid overdose. Extern work so hard to protect and provide for anyone who need it in Ireland, north and south. They literally save lives and so much more.”
