VANT fight the power on the cover of this month’s Dork, out Friday

  • Dork News Desk
  • February 15, 2017
As 2017 gets more and more ridiculous, we’re all having to make sure we stand up for what we believe in and speak out loud and proud. That’s not new territory for VANT. As they drop their debut album ‘Dumb Blood’ this Friday (17th February), they’ll also be making their debut on the Dork cover.

It’s where Mattie VANT belongs. With a message to deliver and a refusal to be silenced, he’s a frontman with plenty to say. Sometimes, our new heroes arrive just when we need them.

Elsewhere this month, we’ve got Los Campesinos! explaining how they almost didn’t return with their new album ‘Sick Scenes’ at all. Formation spark a revolution, Temples share their glitter obsession, and Superfood tell us how Matty from The 1975 helped them get their new record deal. There’s also chats with Lower Than Atlantis, Tegan & Sara, Dutch Uncles, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, The Orwells, Summer Moon and Dams of the West.

We introduce you to MUNA and Freak in this month’s Hype – though if you’re sleeping on the former, do catch up – spend A Day In The Life Of… Oscar from Sundara Karma, and Diet Cig answer Any Other Questions.

Add to that verdicts on the latest albums, all the must know news bites, essential bangers and more, and you’re sorted for the next month.

The new issue of Dork is available from record stores and venues from this Friday, 17th February. If you want to make sure you get one, pre-order a copy below, or subscribe to Dork here. You wouldn’t want to miss out, would you?
