Violet are previewing their new EP with latest cut, ‘Pure Blue’

It was inspired by Randy Newman’s ‘You’ve Got A Friend In Me’.

Violet have shared their new single, ‘Pure Blue’.

It’s a woozy, 90s-influenced track from the band’s upcoming debut EP ‘Feels Like Heaven’, out 22nd November via HolyHowl.

The band explain: “Pure Blue is a groovy cacophony of little ideas we loved from a load of our discarded tunes, sparked from a cheesy rendition of Randy Newman’s ‘You’ve Got A Friend In Me’.

“The song tries to encapsulate those dreams that are indistinguishable from real life, that bring back memories and feelings that you’d masked or never even knew you had.”

Check out ‘Pure Blue’ below, and catch the band on tour later this month.

Violet will play:

29 London, Rye Wax
30 Birmingham, o2 Academy

NOVEMBER

26 Glasgow, King Tuts
27 Newcastle, The Riverside

DECEMBER
