Watch a re-energised Bastille perform ‘Quarter Past Midnight’ at The Biggest Weekend

A shaven and shorn band return to the stage.
There’s no Glastonbury this year – you may have noticed. Because of that, the good ol’ BBC decided – rather than shift their wall to wall coverage to one of the other UK festivals – they’d expand their annual Big Weekend and make it, y’know, even bigger.

So, over the past few days, loads of huge names have been playing at various venues across the UK for BBC Music’s Biggest Weekend. At normal festivals, you don’t get Ed Sheeran opening stages, or Taylor Swift showing up for a quick 30 minute set – but in the world of major broadcaster organised events, anything is possible.

It also means loads – LOADS – of footage is available online. Including Dork favourites Bastille playing new song ‘Quarter Past Midnight’ to the masses in Swansea. They’ve brought a new energy and a brass section with them for this one.
