Angel Olsen’s new album ‘My Woman’ is split into two sides. Side A – the one we’ve heard tracks from already with ‘Intern’ and ‘Shut Up and Kiss Me’ – is supposedly the more immediate, with side B “longer” and “more reflective”. Today we’re getting our first taster of that back run, in the form of ‘Sister’.
The track, which clocks in at almost nine minutes, comes with a video co-directed by Conor Hagen. “I wanted to keep from cutting these shots up too much,” Olsen explained in a press release. “I wanted to slow frames down just enough for the cinematography to make its own statement. My aim was to gather a mixture of very different themed material, and somehow take a look at the synchronicity that material naturally brought forward.”
