Leeds newcomer Wax Works – aka Adam Levey – has shared a brand new track, ‘break up song’.

Following up on January’s ‘why you so sad?’ and last year’s ‘know no better’, it’s another indie alt-pop bop, this time playing on the importance of communication relationships.

“This song came after I heard many songs focusing on the negatives of relationships,” Adam explains. “It inspired me to think that without potholes and bumps to work through, positives wouldn’t come either. The idea began with the post-chorus guitar riff – I knew after I had that down where the song was going instrumentally, and the rest followed naturally.”

Wax Works is set to play a bunch of festival dates over the coming months. The dates read:

April
15-16 Launchpad Festival, Leeds
30 Sound City, Liverpool

May
1 Get Together, Sheffield
28 Dot 2 Dot, Bristol

June
4 Sonic Wave, Birmingham

August
11-14 110 Above, Leicestershire
