We might be waiting longer than we thought for a new Grimes record

Her latest update doesn't sound good.
It looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer for new material from Grimes.

Following updates that we’d be getting a new record in 2018 – she was hoping for spring but “realistically” expected autumn – fans spotted she’d edited the previous post teasing the record to read “welp no music any time soon after all music industry is trash.”

Taking to Twitter, Grimes confirmed there was no problem with management concerning the record.

Hopefully whatever is going on is sorted soon – the follow up to 2015’s Art Angels has been described as “slow and heavy” with “chill vibes, downtempos, synth-y shit”, with Grimes claiming she’d been “in the studio every day trying to legit make something you’ve never heard before.”
