We now know when and where we’ll get to hear the next track from The 1975

Yesterday, The 1975 announced their next track to arrive from forthcoming album ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships’. Now, we know where we’ll get to hear it first.

We already knew ‘TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME’ was set to arrive on Wednesday, 15th August – now we’ve got a time and location too. It’ll premiere as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record on her BBC Radio 1 show, which means we’ll get to hear it at 7:30pm on the dot.

Last month, The 1975 announced their previous track ‘Love It If We Made It’ by sending a note to Dork HQ, and repeated the same trick for August’s monthly delivery from forthcoming third album ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships’.

“On 15 August The 1975 Release ‘TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME’,” the note reads. “‘TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME’ is the second single from The 1975’s forthcoming third album ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships’.”

We now know when and where we'll get to hear the next track from The 1975

By noting this as the ‘second single’, we can only assume it’s a certified banger, and previous offering ‘Love It If We Made It’ – which was simply referred to as the ‘second track’ on last month’s missive – is not being considered an actual formal ‘single’. Or something like that. Basically, clear the area and prepare the poppers, just to be safe.

The note also includes what appear to be the lyrics to ‘TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME’. They read:

You wet my eyes
But I don’t mind it
I tell you lies
But it’s only sometimes
You pick a fight
And I’ll define it

I swear that I only called her one time
Maybe it was two times?
I don’t think it was three times
It can’t be more than four times
I think we need to rewind
You text that boy sometimes!
Must be more than three times!
I didn’t mean to too time you

She said that I should of liked it
I told her
‘I only use it sometimes’
Except when I need reminding
I’m petrified

I swear that I only called her one time
Maybe it was two times?
I don’t think it was three times
It can’t be more than four times
I think we need to rewind
You text that boy sometimes!
Must be more than three times!
I didn’t mean to too time you
