Wet Leg have covered Ronan Keating‘s ‘Life is a Rollercoaster’ in a new Apple Music Home Session, and it’s brilliant

Take the most exciting new band on the planet right now – Wet Leg. Now, make a list of all the songs you’d like that band to cover. Put the two together, and what do you have?

Yep, Wet Leg have recorded a cover of Ronan Keating‘s ‘Life is a Rollercoaster’!

The former Dork cover stars laid down their version of the pop classic as part of a brand new Apple Music Home Session, which debuts today (Friday 4th February), where it appears alongside a version of their own track, ‘Wet Dream’. And it’s bloody brilliant.

Speaking about the choice, the duo explain: “It’s been such a whirlwind for us as a band. So I think we chose to cover ‘Life is a Rollercoaster’ just because we felt like we could relate to the sentiment of it. Kinda goes hand-in-hand with another moto that we live by, of feel the fear and do it anyway. It’s been such a wild and unexpected ride for us since starting Wet Leg and we’re all ’90s babies so we’ve grown up with Ronan Keating on the radio so it seemed appropriate.”

Taking the track reasonably seriously in a totally non-serious way, they’ve transformed it into a Wet Leg classic that doesn’t lose the joy of Ronan’s original. So yes, you can stop pretending it’s not utterly brilliant. Embrace your inner 90s pop child, Dear Reader. You’ll enjoy it. Promise.

Wet Leg are set to release their self-titled debut album on April 8th via Domino Records. You can check out their Apple Music Home Session in full below.
