Wet Leg have covered Ashnikko’s ‘Daisy’, released as part of a Spotify Singles session.
The Isle of Wight outfit have returned to the studio for the first time since recording their debut album, taking a quick break from touring to stamp their own mark on Ashnikko’s huge 2020 single.
Wet Leg have also performed an expansive version of a song from their own record, as they explain: “It’s been really special to get the chance to re-record ‘Convincing’ with the full band arrangement that we’ve built since recording the album.”
“I feel like you can definitely hear more of the dynamic that we’ve developed by being on the road together over this past year in contrast to the initial recordings on the album where we’d only played 4 baby shows with various folks depping in and out of the band,” they explain. “Now we are a fully fledged cult.”

These two tracks mark the first material released by Wet Leg since their self-titled album dropped in April. In a five-star review of the highly anticipated debut, Dork said: “any suggestion Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers were the owners of one impressive but lonely trick pony soon flew out the window.”
