White Lies head to Mexico for their new ‘Believe It’ video

It’s a track taken from the band’s fifth record, due next year.

White Lies have released a new video for ‘Believe It’.

It’s a track taken from the band’s fifth record, which will be titled ‘Five’ and arrives on 1st February 2019.

Shot in Tijuana, Mexico, the video is directed by David Pablos, who describes the clip “as a portrait of my hometown , Tijuana” – “not only the urban landscape, but its life, filled with contrasts and contradictions: a city of immigrants with a border wall that crosses it. What fascinates me the most about it is the ‘otherness’, that is, the people who are rarely seen, but also confirm the identity of the city.

“I wanted to give them a voice; from the ones lost in bars from the red-light district, to the new wave of migrants, mostly Haitians. All of them give life to Tijuana. I wanted to portray them with empathy and respect.”

The band will support the record with a UK tour that starts in Brighton on 31st January, before heading on to dates in Bristol, Leeds, Newcastle, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Edinburgh, Cambridge, London and Birmingham.
