White Lies have announced a bonus edition release of their 2022 album, ‘As I Try Not To Fall Apart’, which will include the newly-released single, ‘Breakdown Days’.
It follows the previously-released ‘Trouble In America’, which will also be featured in the new collection
White Lies frontman Harry McVeigh has shared: “‘Breakdown Days’ was written in the heart of the first UK lockdown. The song reflects my mood at the time, I felt trapped in many ways not being able to tour or to work. The lyrics are about yearning to reach out about your problems but because you’re living together, in close quarters, it means you can’t totally lose your shit!”
“I always enjoy dressing up quite dark lyrics in a pop song and I love the contrast in this track,” he adds. “I’m sure we all dress ourselves up sometimes!”

The extended collection will be released in full next Friday, October 21st, via PIAS Recordings and include four new songs in addition to the existing tracklist; ‘Trouble In America’, ‘What If We’re Bad Together’, ‘Staring At The Sun’, and ‘Breakdown Days’.
