Wild Beasts prove they’re the ‘Big Cat’ now with brand new track and video

The second 'Boy King' cut proves the band have moved up another level.
Wild Beasts have dropped another new track from their forthcoming album ‘Boy King’.

Following up on the Really Quite Different ‘Get My Bang’, ‘Big Cat’ is further proof John Congleton’s production has moved the band into a new gear. Gone are the bookish outsiders before, replaced by a sleeker, more seductive version.

‘Big Cat’ comes with a brand new video, too, featuring an angry looking wolf. Check it out below.

“If ‘Get My Bang’ was a song of the id then ‘Big Cat’ is the ego,” the band’s Hayden Thorpe sexplains. “It marked a breakthrough in the writing process for the album, defining the swagger and attitude that would come to shape Boy King. He is all powerful, but at what price?”
