Reworked Seven Sisters demo lands with Julia Cumming and James Gavin featured.
Wolf Alice have released ‘The Clearing: B Sides’, a three-track collection featuring previous releases ‘Gospel Oak’ and ‘Hammond Song’ alongside new track ‘Hit The Sky’.
‘Hit The Sky’ began as a demo recorded in Seven Sisters during sessions for the band’s fourth album ‘The Clearing’, before being revisited around a year later with James Gavin on fiddle and Julia Cumming of Sunflower Bean on backing vocals.
“Hit the sky is a demo we made in Seven Sisters that we revamped a bit with James Gavin on fiddle and Julia Cumming on BV's a year or so later,” Ellie Rowsell explains. “It’s about encouraging someone you love to be themselves, because you can see how fabulous they are!”
‘The Clearing: B Sides’ follows Wolf Alice’s biggest headline show to date at London’s Finsbury Park earlier this summer. They’ll headline Green Man Festival over the August bank holiday weekend before heading to the US to support Olivia Rodrigo from September.
