The xx, The Strokes + Metallica among confirmed names for the South American Lollapaloozas

The Weeknd, The 1975, Tegan & Sara and Two Door Cinema Club are also amongst the names announced.
Lollapalooza have decided to kick off the ‘2017 Festival Announcing Season’ by revealing a hefty chunk of their South American lineups – with The Strokes, Metallica, The Weeknd and The xx among the big hitters announced for next year’s shindigs.

Giving a pretty clear indication of the names set to dominate 2017, the inclusion of The XX means that these shows are the first to be confirmed for the trio in over three years.

Elsewhere on the lineup, the likes of The 1975, Two Door Cinema Club, Tegan & Sara, Flume, Glass Animals, Duran Duran and Rancid are all set for performances, as the travelling festival visits Brazil, Argentina and Chile for some pretty unforgettable moments.

Taking place between the end of March and the start of April – tickets are on sale now, so if you want to just sort your festival fix right away with guaranteed sun, then you can’t go too wrong here!
