Years & Years have scored the top stop in the UK album chart, with the release of third album ‘Night Call’.
Years & Years previously topped the album charts with the release of their debut album ‘Communion’ back in 2015. ‘Night Call’, which was released on 21 January, sold 75% of its total through physical copies.

Hearing the news, Olly said: “I’m just really, really proud. Everybody who got this album and streamed it – I can’t believe it, thank you so, so, so much! We got Number 1 baby!!”
Yard Act went in at number two in the charts with the release of their debut album ‘The Overload’. Not only that, the release claimed three Number one spots on the Physical Albums Chart, the Vinyl Albums Chart and the Record Store Chart.
AND In other REALLY RATHER IMPRESSIVE NEWS, Yard Act claimed the title of the fastest-selling debut album on vinyl of any band this century.

And to see both acts congratulating each other on Twitter thawed even our cynical hearts. Nice work all!
Nothing but respect for Olly. Glad we got to give him a good hustle. The fact he even knows who we are is so funny. Hope our paths cross in real life x https://t.co/6ioVxp38Ik

Frankly, everyone’s a winner and both acts should get a prize. Maybe it’s time we finally start making medals for the bands that score a number two album – it’s the true indie number one, after all.
