Years & Years and Yard Act are locked in a chart battle for this week’s UK number 1 album

Olly Alexander is currently in the lead, with Yard Act shifting the most physical copies so far.

Years & Years and Yard Act are locked in a chart battle for this week’s UK number 1 album.

Currently, Olly Alexander is in the lead with new album ‘Night Call’ – Years & Years first full length and potentially second number 1. It’s the first full-length since it was announced the band will move forwards as a solo project, following the departure of Emre Türkmen and Mikey Goldsworthy earlier this year. Years & Years previously topped the album charts with the release of their debut album ‘Communion’ back in 2015.

Newcomers Yard Act, however, are hot on his heels with their debut album ‘The Overload’ – currently the biggest selling album on physical formats.

The final results of this week’s chart will be announced on Friday (28th January).

Years & Years will shortly be off on a headline tour of the UK and Ireland to promote the release of ‘Night Call’.

The tour visits:
MAY
19 Brighton Centre
20 Bournemouth Centre
21 Birmingham Birmingham Resorts World Arena
26 London The SSE Arena, Wembley
28 Manchester AO Arena

JUNE
24 Dublin The National Museum of Ireland
25 Glasgow Colourboxx, Bellahouston Park
